So glad you re-discovered Dan’s music. I also found a greater appreciation for his skill – when the albums came out, it was just good listening. His musical ability is truly astounding. Listen to Netherlands – you’ll be blown away by his composing.

Sounds like you are a newly found DanFan!! I’ve been a fan for over 30 years–from the very first time I heard one of Dan’s songs–I knew I found someone special!! I despise people who diss his music when all they know about are his “popular radio hits”–which dont even come close to showing his musical virtuoso-ness. I am glad I “got it” (as we DanFans say), long ago!! Lucky for you, sounds like you “got it” now too!!! Better late than never!!! Let Dan’s music shine on!!!!

I really enjoyed your post and I have a stash of those vinyl albums too They seemed more personal and special then – CD’s just aren’t the same, although the sound is much better.

Its been great to share so many wonderful memories and thoughts from various Dan fans. So glad to hear you and your son enjoyed Dan.
